Happenings in AUGUST at the Hotel Delatite

Commencing Monday 4th August - The Department of Primary Industries is conducting a
Whole Farm Planning course at the DPI office in Mansfield. The course aims to assist all land
managers in developing a property plan with topics including paddock subdivision, shelter, water
supply, habitat, pest/weed control, fire protection, livestock needs, soil conservation, land degradation
and water budgets. The course runs one day per week for 4 weeks and includes an aerial photo of
your property, new resource folder, course materials and guest speakers. The cost is $300 per

Sunday 10th August - The Rotary Club Of Mansfield are holding their monthly trash & treasure market
at the recreation oval in Highett Street, Mansfield from 9am – 1pm. Come down and grab a bargain.
Entry by gold coin donation & all proceeds from this market will assist Rotary’s local charity efforts.

Commencing Friday 22nd August – MMuDs presents “Jesus Christ Superstar”
The show opens on 22nd August at the Mansfield Performing Arts Centre with a Sunday matinee and
evening performances running through until Saturday 30th August. Tickets will be available in early
August from Wallaby Ritz in Mansfield & prices are $17.50 for adults and $12.50 for students and

Sunday 13th July - The Rotary Club Of Mansfield are holding their monthly trash and treasure
market at the recreation oval in Highett Street, Mansfield from 9am – 1pm. Come down and grab a

Sunday 13th and 20th July - Star Glen Lodge in Bonnie Doon invites you to a sumptuous 3-course
Christmas lunch with all the trimmings & ambience of a Christmas in July affair. The Lodge will be
beautifully decorated in the Christmas theme to give everyone a truly memorable experience. Sample
home style cooking, sit by the crackling fire & enjoy a drink from the Sullivans Bar (of the famous TV

Thursday 17th July - Do you need some advice on Diabetes or want to check your risk factor?
From 10am-11.15am the Amcal Pharmacy in Mansfield will have a Diabetes Educator and a Dietician
on hand to give advice, perform risk assessment tests & body mass index calculations. From 11am –

Friday 18th July - The Mt Battery Belles are hosting a Trivia Night fundraiser for Relay For Life.
Commencing at 8pm in the Buckland Centre, Bank Place in Mansfield, the night also features a

Thursday 24th July - Mansfield Environment and Climate Action Group are hosting an environmental
film night from 5.30pm at the Mansfield Regional Produce Store. Entry is by gold coin donation.

Maria Hutchins in the Buckland Room at the Mansfield Community House for these workshops on

Thursday 3rd July - The Mill Inn Restaurant in Alpine Ridge is holding a Food & Wine Matching
Dinner. Your gastronomic 3-course set menu prepared by local acclaimed chef Travis Boltong, will be
matched with a fine selection of McLaren Ridge Wines, followed by Tawny Port and coffee. Along with

Christmas in July at The Magnolia - Every Thursday evening throughout July The Magnolia will be

Friday 4th July – Mark Adams Ski Race and Golf Challenge Fundraiser
Gather a group of four and join in for all the fun of this annual fundraiser. Kicking off on Mt Buller from
8.30am where your team will do 2 runs down an easy short course before heading down to the
Mansfield Golf Club for a BBQ lunch and a midday tee off for an afternoon on the course. All inclusive
costs are $60 per adult & $30 per student. Monies raised are distributed amongst the local schools to

Sunday 6th July - The Magnolia in Mansfield is hosting a 6-course degustation lunch menu
featuring some of Christian’s favourite recipies including duck, lobster, lamb and soufflé. Vegetarian

There will be a Zoo Train daily from 9.15am – 10.15am for children aged 18 months to 4 1/2 years and

Wednesday 9th July - The Mansfield Courier/Rotary Club Sports Star and Sports Administrator
of the Year will be held at the Hotel Delatite from 6.30pm where awards for both sports persons and
sports administrators will be presented. A 3 course dinner is included and drinks will be available at
bar prices. Tickets are available from the Mansfield Tattslotto Agency at a cost of $35 per person.

Commencing Friday 11th July – MMuDs performing ‘Life After George’
Mansfield Musical & Dramatic Society are presenting Hannie Rayson’s ‘Life After George’. The show
opens on 11th July at the Mansfield Performing Arts Centre with a mixture of matinee and evening

Saturday 12th & 13th July - “Man from Snowy River” ride. Join Michael & Sally Watson on a luxury
