RELAY FOR LIFE Saturday 10th October – Sunday 11th October - The fifth Mansfield Relay For Life will take place from 12.00noon on Saturday until 12.00noon on Sunday at the Mansfield Showgrounds in Mt Battery Road. 18 teams will participate in this 24-hour event which raises funds for cancer research, education and patient support. All are welcome – this is a community event and we encourage you to come along to support the Relay For Life teams. Enjoy live music and lots of fun activities including the ‘Mansfield Gift’ foot races, kids karaoke, face & plaster painting, a boxerfit class, jump rope and hand ball with members of the Mansfield Footy Club.
GALA BALL Saturday 10th October – Dance the night away at our inaugural Merton Amateur Turf Club Gala Ball to be held at the Merton Airfield hanger at 7pm. With a flying/racing theme and the night features live band “SMAC” and supporting act Sally Robins (as seen on Australian Idol). Sunday 1st March – Join us at the Mansfield Golf Club for a 9-hole Evening Golf Event. This fundraiser, hosted by the Mansfield Hospital Auxiliary, is a three person Ambrose hitting off at 4.30pm sharp.

Until Tuesday 4th November – The Spring Arts Walk exhibitions continue in café venues throughout Mansfield till November 4th. Sculpture, visual art, photography & textiles are some of the mediums used in this exhibition enabling artists to interpret the legends & spirit of the High Country. All artwork is for sale. Until Tuesday 4th November – The focus of this popular festival is ‘Legends’, with High Country
Huts, Horses & Legends of the High Country providing plenty of scope for artists and erformers,

and water budgets. The course runs one day per week for 4 weeks and includes an aerial photo of

Thursday 3rd July - The Mill Inn Restaurant in Alpine Ridge is holding a Food & Wine Matching
Dinner. Your gastronomic 3-course set menu prepared by local acclaimed chef Travis Boltong, will be
matched with a fine selection of McLaren Ridge Wines, followed by Tawny Port and coffee. Along with

Friday 4th July – Mark Adams Ski Race and Golf Challenge Fundraiser
Gather a group of four and join in for all the fun of this annual fundraiser. Kicking off on Mt Buller from
8.30am where your team will do 2 runs down an easy short course before heading down to the
Mansfield Golf Club for a BBQ lunch and a midday tee off for an afternoon on the course. All inclusive
costs are $60 per adult & $30 per student. Monies raised are distributed amongst the local schools to

Sunday 6th July - The Magnolia in Mansfield is hosting a 6-course degustation lunch menu

Wednesday 9th July - The Mansfield Courier/Rotary Club Sports Star and Sports Administrator
of the Year will be held at the Hotel Delatite from 6.30pm where awards for both sports persons and

Sunday 1st June
COMMUNITY BREAKFAST - The Merrijig Hall is soon to be refurbished, so to give the hall it’s last hoorah and to celebrate the beginning of winter 2008, join the Merrijig Public Hall Committee for a ‘Welcome To Winter’ breakfast. Sausages, eggs, bacon, muffins, tea, coffee and orange juice are all provided. BYO champagne and glass. The committee’s motto is ‘We cook – You eat’ and everyone is welcome. Tuesday 3rd June
ARTIST BUSINESS WORKSHOP - Whether you work full time as an artist, or supplement your artistic career with other work, you canimprove your knowledge and skills at this free workshop. This program run by the Australia Business Arts Foundation includes presentations by industry experts, leading visual artists, gallery professionals and arts managers. It covers such topics as promotion and media, building relationships with clients and galleries, and business basics. The workshop runs from 9am – 5pm at the Mansfield Shire

Thursday 5th June
CLIMATE ACTION GROUP GATHERING - Mansfield Environment and Climate Action Group are holding a discussion evening on Solar power from 5.30pm at the Mansfield Regional Produce Store. A panel, including guests Paul Matthews from Solar Phase and Paul Cooney from Solarco, will discuss such topics as hot water systems, power and grid feed, pumps and hydronics and current information on Federal and State Government subsidies.

GOURMET FOOD AND WINE – Gourmet Food and Wine Tasting at Kinloch Wines Taste five fantastic Kinloch Wines that will be perfectly matched with delicious gourmet canapés prepared by Mansfield’s Travis Boltong who was trained by the acclaimed Chef and restauranteur, Gordon Ramsay. The Mansfield Produce Store is again hosting a BRACKET AND JAM session featuring Mansfield’s most popular live music. Jo Jo Smith, Alastair Pirie and a host of the best musicians from around the region will be cranking out the tunes. Dinner from 6.30pm with entertainment kicking off from 7.30pm. GOOD VIBES CONCERT for Liam Bradley - A fundraising event not to be missed! With Tom Gleisner as compare and featuring performances by many of our renowned musicians, this is going to be a very special evening. Want to know more about the community in Mansfield? The Mansfield Shire Connected Community FESTIVAL are getting the services and groups that support your community together on the median strip in High Street Mansfield from 10am until 3pm.

Check out the CHARITY GOLF DAY held at the Mansfield Golf Club. The tee off is from 7.30am. $30.00 green fees cover two course roast lunch, on course finger food and refreshments, and a BBQ dinner.

There's also a FREE PARENT WORKSHOP Celebrating Parenting – From 9.30am to 12.00pm at the Mansfield Community House.

Friday 2nd May
The Mansfield Boat Club is hosting an INTERNATIONAL THEME NIGHT at Goughs Bay. Get involved in the evening and bring along a Chinese style casserole or dessert.

Saturday 3rd May
For those interested in doing their bit to ensure we live in “A Sustainable World” get along to the EXPO that brings together businesses actively involved in creating an environmentally-friendly place to live.
