LIVE COMEDY Friday 3rd July – Get your laughing muscles ready for the hilarious comedy ‘Twelfth Night.’
This live performance at the Mt Buller Chalet Hotel is going to be a fantastic evening of great

A MERRY JIG Saturday 4th July – ‘A Merry Jig’ at Merrijig. For a fun night of Irish music and dance, with live music performed by Island Celtic, join in all the festivities at the Merrijig Hall to
commemorate the official opening of the original hall back in 1930. Come along for a fun night

COMMEMORATIVE BALL Saturday 4th July – Tolmie Commemorative Ball. Coinciding with the original opening of the Tolmie Mechanics Institute in 1920, Tolmie Hall is holding a Commemorative Ball. HUSKIES @ THE ZOO Sunday 5th July – Siberian Huskies are coming to the Zoo. Between 12 – 2pm come and cuddle one of these beautiful dogs & see the team set up in harness. HISTORIC DISPLAY July – Historic Photographic Display. During July the Mansfield Historic Society will be exhibiting a touring display from the Public Records Office of Victoria. The display features a pictorial history of Victoria captured through a selection of public transport photographs. The resort simply sparkles with beautiful decorations and Christmas trees, and the sounds of

What's on in Mansfield, November 2008

Week 1&2

Until Tuesday 4th November – The Spring Arts Walk exhibitions continue in café venues throughout Mansfield till November 4th. Sculpture, visual art, photography & textiles are some of the mediums used in this exhibition enabling artists to interpret the legends & spirit of the High Country. All artwork is for sale. Until Tuesday 4th November – The focus of this popular festival is ‘Legends’, with High Country
Huts, Horses & Legends of the High Country providing plenty of scope for artists and erformers,
community groups and history addicts to create and discover new ways to enjoy the High Country.
Traditional events such as the Grand Parade, Fireworks Extravaganza, Spring Arts Walk & the
Picnic Races will be complimented by a program full of new events. The festival continues until
Tuesday 4th November and concludes with the Mansfield Races. This Cup Day meeting is a major attraction and offers a full field with bookies & totaliser, fashions on the field, live entertainment & the Horse Couture Parade showcasing both horses and riders in wearable art. Saturday 1st November – This fundraiser for the Mansfield District Hospital sees teams of four,
dressed in hospital attire & using medical equipment, compete against each other on a course

Saturday 1st – 2nd November – The historic & beautiful town of Jamieson is holding an Art Exhibition over the Cup Weekend. On display will be the works of 7 artists showcasing a variety of different art through various mediums such as photography, ceramics & painting. The exhibition will run from 10am - 4pm in the Jamieson Community Hall with admission by gold coin donation to the local CFA.

Saturday 1st – Sunday 2nd November

Saturday 1st – The Saturday night dance is back! Dance the night away to your favourite D.J. - Chris Cross at the RSL Hall in Woods Point from 7pm. BYO drinks.
Sunday 2nd – Woods Point Bush Market from 10.30am – 1.30pm in Stewarts Reserve.
Sunday 2nd – The Woods Point Cup. Dress as a jockey and grab a make-do horse (mop, broom or tree branch). Be the fastest rider to complete the 200 metre course between the museum and the Hotel to get your name inscribed on the Woods Point Cup.

Saturday 1st – 3rd November – Mt Buller comes alive with the roar of engines as it hosts the High Country’s favourite motor sport challenge – the Mt Buller Sprint. Experience the excitement as some of Australia’s most renowned names in motor racing battle it out to achieve the fastest time up the Mt Buller Tourist Road. Saturday 1st – 3rd November – Tim from The Howqua Hills Trader will run a daily service operating from 9.30am on Saturday, Sunday & Monday calling into camps between Fry’s Flat and Tunnel Bend delivering supplies such as bread, milk, ice, newspapers and more to campers. For special orders

Sunday 2nd November – Take the stunning drive out to Jamieson and stop off at the Jamieson
Brewery for their Cup Weekend Car Boot Sale, Car Show and sausage sizzle. Located in the

Sunday 2nd November – Maindample CFA is holding its 3rd annual High Country Heritage Day at ‘Tara’, Maroondah Hwy, Maindample from 11am – 6pm. The days events will include milking cows, shearing sheep both by hand & mechanically, butchering demonstrations, old truck & engine displays, horse shoeing, dog handling, family activities & lots more.
