RELAY FOR LIFE Saturday 10th October – Sunday 11th October - The fifth Mansfield Relay For Life will take place from 12.00noon on Saturday until 12.00noon on Sunday at the Mansfield Showgrounds in Mt Battery Road. 18 teams will participate in this 24-hour event which raises funds for cancer research, education and patient support. All are welcome – this is a community event and we encourage you to come along to support the Relay For Life teams. Enjoy live music and lots of fun activities including the ‘Mansfield Gift’ foot races, kids karaoke, face & plaster painting, a boxerfit class, jump rope and hand ball with members of the Mansfield Footy Club.
GALA BALL Saturday 10th October – Dance the night away at our inaugural Merton Amateur Turf Club Gala Ball to be held at the Merton Airfield hanger at 7pm. With a flying/racing theme and the night features live band “SMAC” and supporting act Sally Robins (as seen on Australian Idol). Sculpture, visual art, photography & textiles are some of the mediums used in this exhibition enabling artists to interpret the legends & spirit of the High Country. All artwork is for sale. Until Tuesday 4th November – The focus of this popular festival is ‘Legends’, with High Country
Huts, Horses & Legends of the High Country providing plenty of scope for artists and erformers,

CINEMANIA 1st, 2nd & 26th October – Workshops & Screening - Cinemania is a youth festival running as a part of the High Country Festival … it’s all about cinema. It all starts with the Cinemania workshop on the 1st & 2nd
of October, where young local people can make their own short film with a visiting cutting-edge, new-media
artist. The films will premier at several events in the High Country Spring Arts program as well as at the Hotel
Delatite on the 26th October from 7pm, where the hotel will be transformed into a huge lounge room for
young people, complete with couches & snacks. A feature film will follow. Entry fee is $5 pp. Workshop

Whole Farm Planning course at the DPI office in Mansfield. The course aims to assist all land
managers in developing a property plan with topics including paddock subdivision, shelter, water
supply, habitat, pest/weed control, fire protection, livestock needs, soil conservation, land degradation
and water budgets. The course runs one day per week for 4 weeks and includes an aerial photo of
your property, new resource folder, course materials and guest speakers. The cost is $300 per

BRIC-A-BRAC - Mansfield Masonic Lodge Ladies are holding a Bric-a-brac stall and Hamper Raffle in the Lodge foyer, Highett Street on Queens Birthday Bush Market Day. Lodge men will hold their usual sausage sizzle and wood raffle on the footpath outside.

MT BULLER OPENING WEEKEND - Opening weekend festivities kick off in the Mt Buller village square from 2.30pm. GOURMET FOOD AND WINE – Gourmet Food and Wine Tasting at Kinloch Wines Taste five fantastic Kinloch Wines that will be perfectly matched with delicious gourmet canapés prepared by Mansfield’s Travis Boltong who was trained by the acclaimed Chef and restauranteur, Gordon Ramsay. CAFÉ CONCERT SERIES – The Arts Council of Mansfield, MMuDS and the Kookaburra Club present Dev’lish Mary with supporting act Joel Olver and Paul Riley. The Mansfield Produce Store is again hosting a BRACKET AND JAM session featuring Mansfield’s most popular live music. Jo Jo Smith, Alastair Pirie and a host of the best musicians from around the region will be cranking out the tunes. Dinner from 6.30pm with entertainment kicking off from 7.30pm. GOOD VIBES CONCERT for Liam Bradley - A fundraising event not to be missed! With Tom Gleisner as compare and featuring performances by many of our renowned musicians, this is going to be a very special evening. AFRICAN DRUMMING WORKSHOP – The Mansfield Rudolf Steiner School is hosting an African Drumming Workshop with Percussionist, Simon Fraser and Master Drummer from Mali, Mady Keita. Want to know more about the community in Mansfield? The Mansfield Shire Connected Community FESTIVAL are getting the services and groups that support your community together on the median strip in High Street Mansfield from 10am until 3pm.

Check out the CHARITY GOLF DAY held at the Mansfield Golf Club. The tee off is from 7.30am. $30.00 green fees cover two course roast lunch, on course finger food and refreshments, and a BBQ dinner.

There's also a FREE PARENT WORKSHOP Celebrating Parenting – From 9.30am to 12.00pm at the Mansfield Community House.

Friday 2nd May
The Mansfield Boat Club is hosting an INTERNATIONAL THEME NIGHT at Goughs Bay. Get involved in the evening and bring along a Chinese style casserole or dessert.

Saturday 3rd May
For those interested in doing their bit to ensure we live in “A Sustainable World” get along to the EXPO that brings together businesses actively involved in creating an environmentally-friendly place to live.
